Crews working on an underground garage at an Auburndale construction site experienced a mishap June 30 when a ramp collapsed. The incident was originally reported by Breaking News Network as a partial building collapse, but the supervisor on site said it was in fact a ramp. He declined to elaborate further.
The incident occurred near the corner of Booth Memorial Avenue and 184th Street where a new building has already been completed.
Initial reports also said the collapse involved the roof of the parking garage.
A Department of Buildings inspector was at the scene, and following a search, there were no reported injuries or fatalities.
