A new men’s clothing store is coming to Ditmars Blvd.

The Stonework, which will sell menswear and lifestyle clothes, will be opening at 37-06 Ditmars Blvd, in late September.

The store plans to serve customers of all shapes and sizes, offering casual wear that goes up to size 6X, said co-owner Ana Stone.

“We will also have an emphasis on classic American-made goods,” she said.

Stone, who is opening the clothing store with her husband, James Guccione, said the two have wanted to open their own store for sometime now.

Guiccione has worked for almost 15 years with Con Edison, while Stone has served as an editorial stylist and visual merchandiser, which led them to open their own clothing shop.

“One we decided to open a store, Ditmars was always the goal,” Stone said. “With exciting new additions coming to the block, we are so thrilled to be a part of it.”

The two landed on the name for two reasons. The first, comes from the literal definition of stonework , which is, “the parts of a building made of stone.” However, it is also a play on her family name, Stone.

Stone will use space in the store for her own art studio. She will hand paint Queens-inspired images and flags, hand-stitch custom embroidery, and offer on-site denim alterations. Not only will she sell her artwork, but she said local artists can use the space as a platform to display and sell their work.

“The Stonework is here to support the growing community of local artists, inviting selected makers from all over the city and country to create and sell their work right in the store,” she said.

“Our hope is to provide a unique, dynamic shopping experience that celebrates creativity and diversity – like the great city we live in.”
