Police take nearly $14,000 worth of drugs off the streets of Maspeth last weekend

Cops made a major drug bust in Maspeth over the weekend, taking approximately $14,000 worth of illegal substances off the streets.

According to Captain Mark Wachter, the 104th Precinct’s commanding officer, officers from the precinct’s Traffic Unit arrested one Hispanic male, 29, and one Hispanic female, 27, for possession of numerous amounts of narcotics on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 10 p.m. near the intersection of 60th Street and Flushing Avenue. Their identities were not disclosed.

 

The contraband seized in the bust included 383 envelopes of heroin, 216 Xanax pills, 68 grams of cocaine, 10 amphetamine pills, marijuana and $3,523.

The precinct took to Twitter to tout about the seizure.
