FDNY: Crash on RFK Bridge leaves 11 injured, nine seriously

Eleven people were injured in a crash on the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge early this morning, according to an FDNY spokesman.

The crash occurred at 3:08 a.m. on the Queens side of the bridge.  An FDNY spokesman did not have details as to how the crash occurred or how many cars were involved at press time.

Nine of the people involved in the crash were seriously hurt, though none of the injuries were life threatening. Two others suffered minor injuries.

The injured were transported to Elmhurst Hospital for treatment.
