Police released on Wednesday night dramatic video of a woman being robbed by two men in a dark, snow-covered alley in Flushing earlier this month.

The holdup occurred at 10:55 p.m. on the night of Jan. 7 in the area of Colden Street and Cherry Avenue.

According to law enforcement sources, the 49-year-old female victim was walking toward her home when she was approached by two unknown suspects, both of whom were described as black males. Police said one of the suspects displayed a black handgun.

The video shows the woman attempting to flee the suspects, only to have them corner her against a wall. One of the suspects then retreated a distance while the other forcibly removed the victim’s purse; police said the handbag contained the woman’s iPhone, credit cards and $800 in cash. The perpetrator could also be seen reaching for the woman’s pants pockets for property.

After obtaining her belongings, authorities said, the suspects fled the scene on foot northbound on Colden Street before turning westbound onto Franklin Avenue. The incident was later reported to the 109th Precinct.

During their investigation, police learned that the suspects illegally used the victim’s credit card early the next morning, at 12:41 a.m. on Jan. 8, to make a purchase at the Speedway gas station located at 97-11 Northern Blvd. in Jackson Heights.

Police said one of the robbers was last seen wearing a green hooded ski jacket with a black stripe and black jeans, while his cohort wore a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and sneakers.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspects’ whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS, visit their website or send a text message to 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
