Thieves hit the same Queens Center jewelry shop in Elmhurst three times in three months

Bad things really do come in threes.

Police are on the hunt for a trio that robbed the same jewelry store in Elmhurst three times over the course of three months.

The first incident occurred on Friday, Oct. 21 at around 5:50 p.m. An unknown individual entered the Zales Diamonds store at the Queens Center, located at 90-15 Queens Boulevard, and removed jewelry from a display case. The individual then left the store in an unknown direction.

The second incident took place two days later, on Sunday, Oct. 23. At approximately 6:07 p.m., an unidentified individual walked into the same Zales Diamonds store as the first incident. The individual then took an entire display box, which contained an assortment of jewelry, and fled the store in an unknown direction.

The third incident wasn’t until a couple of months later. On Saturday, Dec. 31 at 6:35 p.m., three individuals entered the same Zales Diamonds store. They forced the display case open and removed jewelry from it before fleeing the store. The individuals took off to parts unknown.

The individuals are described as black males in their early 20s.

A surveillance video was released by the NYPD from the third incident.
