The NYPD needs the public’s help in finding two men who assaulted and critically injured a 34-year-old man on a Corona street several weeks ago.

Police released on Monday night, Feb. 13, images and a video of the two suspects involved in the assault that took place at 2:30 a.m. on the morning of Jan. 15 in the area of 108th Street and 38th Avenue.

According to law enforcement sources, the two suspects — both described as Hispanic males wearing dark colored clothing — approached the victim and began punching and kicking him about the face and body. One of the perpetrators smashed a beer bottle across the victim’s face.

Following the attack, police noted, the assailants fled the scene in an unknown direction. Video footage that police released shows the suspects walking through the area; at one point, one of the suspects could be seen pulling the other back.

The incident was reported to the 115th Precinct. The victim was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital in critical but stable condition with numerous facial fractures and lacerations.

Anyone with information regarding the attack or the suspects’ whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS, visit their website or send a text message to 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
