Lunar New Year Parade — Celebrate 2017, the Year of the Rooster, by marching in the famous Lunar New Year Parade in Flushing. The parade is organized by the 2017 Lunar New Year Festival Committee, a coalition of community groups led by the Flushing Chinese Business Association and the Korean American Association of Queens.
When: Saturday, Feb. 4, at 10 a.m. (Parade begins at 11 a.m., but onlookers should gather at 10 a.m.)
Where: Union Street and 39th Avenue in front of the 109th Precinct.

Taxi Driver — Stop by the Museum of Moving Image to see Scorsese’s dark, dyspeptic view of New York, made all the more menacing by a brassy Bernard Herrmann score, can now be seen as a love letter to the Big Apple in its seedy 1970s glory.

APEC Adventure Times – Heart-Shaped Animals — Have fun with shapes and make an animal crafted out of hearts. Toddlers and parents/caregivers can enjoy some special time together as the youngsters socialize with one other and learn about nature. Each class focuses on a different science theme and includes live animal guests, art projects, trail walks, stories and more. Limited to eight participants 18-36 months old (with parent participation).
