They’re at it again! Queens’ own Tiles Unlimited will be returning to the rescue team on the hit NBC show “George to the Rescue” on Saturday, March 25.

The series centers on George Oliphant, a contractor who has been working with his team to renovate the homes of deserving families in the tristate area for the last six years. This episode marks the fifth time that Tiles Unlimited will join the rescue team.

The episode will feature the Lederman family, who lost their beloved father and husband Darren Lederman to leukemia. Stacey Lederman and her children Emma and Noah found themselves living back at Stacey’s childhood home with Stacey’s parents after Darren’s death. While they’ve had a tremendous amount of support from their community, the Ledermans are in need of a place to call their own as they adjust to this heartbreaking change in their life.

“We feel honored and privileged to be a part of such a worthy cause, especially one that so closely meshes with our mission,” says Joseph L. Pipitone, president of Tiles Unlimited. “Collaborating with George and the teams he puts together for each project has been a joy.”

Tiles Unlimited is thrilled to help another family on “George to the Rescue.” To date, Tiles Unlimited has donated almost 2,100 square feet of tile and installation materials over the course of five episodes of the show.

“Our mission of ‘Making a difference one square foot at a time’ dovetails nicely with the mission of George to the Rescue, which is ‘Helping families one home at a time’,” says Pipitone. “There is no greater feeling than being able to help those less fortunate and that a small donation of tile and materials can make such a huge difference to a family in need.”

Founded in 2004, Tiles Unlimited truly lives up to its mission. In addition to their work with “George to the Rescue,” Tiles Unlimited has been an active participant in Toys For Tots and Red Nose Day, and donated approximately 30,000 square feet of tile to families whose homes were affected by Superstorm Sandy in 2013. Currently, they are competing for a FedEx Small Business Grant, and if they win they have pledged 40 percent of their grant to better Queens communities so they can help even more.

Located in Glendale, Tiles Unlimited is your ultimate source for premium tile products. They have the largest selection of porcelain, ceramic, glass, metal and natural stone tiles in Queens while having partnerships with the finest distributors and manufacturers around the world.
