The Blizzard of 2017 was a real pain for one Rego Park resident who was stabbed in the butt by his neighbor while clearing his driveway of snow on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
According to police, the 46-year-old victim was out snowblowing his driveway in the area of Alderton Street and Yellowstone Boulevard at around 4 p.m. during the March 14 storm when a 34-year-old male, later identified as the victim’s neighbor, approached him from behind.
The assailant punched his neighbor in the head before stabbing him with a sharp object in the buttocks, the right side of his chest and the head, cops said.
Officers from the 112th Precinct arrived on scene and EMS units transported the victim to Elmhurst Hospital in critical but stable condition.
The attacker — described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and 250 pounds — ran off in an unknown direction before police arrived.
Despite a search of the surrounding area, no arrests were made; the investigation is ongoing.
