MTA suspended service on the No. 7 subway line Friday due to a gas leak on the street level at 72 Street and Broadway, officials said.

Service was suspended at 11:25 a.m. from the Times Square /42 Street stop and Willets Point, MTA said.

As of noon. service had resumed with extensive delays, officials said.

Earlier in the day around 9 a.m. service on the line from Grand Central to 74th Street was slow because of signal problems.

The LIRR is cross-honoring at 34th Street-Penn Station, at 61st Street-Broadway and in Flushing.

MTA advised to straphangers to use the E, F, M, or R trains for service to Manhattan. MTA also advised to allow for extra travel time.

FDNY is investigating the leak.
