Thief fails in bid to steal prescription painkillers from a Jackson Heights pharmacy

Police are searching for a man who left a Jackson Heights pharmacy empty-handed after attempting to steal drugs from the store.

At 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, an unknown male walked into a CVS Pharmacy located at 72-09 Northern Blvd. He walked up to the service counter and passed a note to an employee that read “Give me the Oxycodone and no gets hurt.”

The employee refused, and the suspect took the note and fled the scene in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported and nothing was stolen during the incident.

The suspect is described a Hispanic male with a light complexion, age 30, and standing 5 feet, 11 inches tall.  He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, a black skull cap and grey sneakers.
