Dayboat, the Peruvian-inspired seafood restaurant, is up for sale, and looking to be sold quickly.
The restaurant, located at 41-16 Queens Blvd, is “priced for quick sale” on Craigslist for $99,000, with “some wiggle room”, according to the listing. The location’s equipment and venting are all included—“everything stays.”
“Please don’t discuss with staff,” a section of the listing reads.
Dayboat, its name meaning seafood caught and brought to shore on the same day, specializes in ceviche—raw fish cut and marinated with citrus, fish dash, onions, and celery—and other seafood dishes with a variety of international flair, like the Japanese-influenced kushiyaki, and European pastas. It offers both a brunch and dinner menu.
The restaurant opened its doors just six months ago in December 2016, a mere two months after the location’s New American predecessor, the widely acclaimed and multiple Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand pick Salt & Fat, closed.
Calls to Robert Mendoza, the restaurant’s owner, on the number listed were not returned.
