Police from the 115th Precinct responding to a 911 call Sunday discovered a 27-year-old man who had fallen down a basement staircase, according to the NYPD.
A preliminary investigation indicated Adrian De La Cruz struck the back of his head and suffered trauma during the fall at a home on 32nd Avenue near 90th Street, police said.
EMS responded and pronounced De La Cruz dead at the scene. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
The investigation was ongoing, police said.
