Kids Saturday Sculpture Event — Join the Queens Historical Society for the event, where the group will present its Road to Freedom: Paper Quilting workshop. This art-based workshop focuses on the Underground Railroad, including secret messages that were encoded through patchwork quilts to help guide slaves to freedom. Students will create paper quilts using authentic symbols and messages. Appropriate for grades K through 6.
