Police are looking for a man who shoved a 72-year-old man on an Astoria street and stole his wallet.
On July 10 at approximately 2:21 p.m., the victim was walking near 37-10 Broadway in Astoria when the suspect approached him from behind and pushed him to the ground. The suspect then “forcibly removed” the man’s wallet and fled in an unknown direction.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Queens Hospital in Astoria, where he was treated for injuries to his face and knees.
Police desribe the suspect as a black male who is between 25 and 30 years old and was last seen wearing a white shirt with blue sleeves, tan pants and blue and white sneakers.
