Cops looking for man who entered a Bayside home through a window and pocketed cash

Police are searching for a man who spent his Fourth of July sneaking into a Bayside home to steal some cash.

On July 4 at around 4:49 a.m., an unidentified male entered a residence in the vicinity of 32nd Avenue and 201st Street through an open side window, according to authorities. The perpetrator then proceeded to pocket $200 and flee the home.

The suspect is described as a male, five foot 10 inches tall with black hair. He was seen in a 1996 Toyota RAV 4 SUV.

Surveillance footage of the subject can be seen below. The 111th Precinct‘s Detective Squad is investigating.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
