A 71-year-old man in Kew Gardens died Tuesday after suffering from injuries sustained during a car accident.
On July 30, Christopher Swanson tried to cross the road on 120th Street and 85th Avenue in Kew Gardens, one block from his home. A 38-year-old driver in a 2015 Honda Odyssey allegedly reversed his car into Swanson, who was in the middle of the block, according to police.
When the police arrived, Swanson was on the roadway with trauma to the body and the driver of the Honda remained on the scene, police said.
EMS took Swanson to Jamaica Hospital, where he remained until his death.
Swanson’s family has been notified of his death and the case has been turned over to the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad.
