Citi Bike stations will roll in across two sites in Astoria tomorrow, sources for the bike share company say.

One of the stations installed tomorrow will be at Vernon Boulevard and 41st Ave, and another at 24th Street and 40th ave. More stations will be added in the coming weeks.

The installations are part of the program’s expansion into Astoria and Long Island City, where 66 bikes will be installed in the two neighborhoods combined, the DOT announced earlier this month.

Astoria can expect to see 59 Citi Bike stations installed by the end of the fall. Long Island City, which already has 13 Citi Bike stations, will have an additional seven coming its way in the coming weeks.

The expansion is the final component of phase two of Citi Bike’s expansion which will see 12,000 total bikes in the city-wide system by the end of 2017.

Astoria is the second neighborhood in Queens to feature Citi Bike, operated by Motivate. It was introduced to Long Island City in 2015.

Information on current and upcoming station locations can be viewed on Citi Bike’s online map.
