A man was killed early Sunday morning in a motorcycle crash near Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

The 25-year-old rider was heading westbound on the Grand Central Parkway in Corona just after 5 a.m. when he lost control of his 2016 Yamaha motorcycle, struck a guardrail and was ejected from the bike, investigators said.

The motorcycle continued along the highway and was struck by a 59-year-old woman driving a 2011 Nissan SUV, becoming lodged under the vehicle, causing sparks and debris, police said. A second vehicle, a 2009 Lincoln sedan driven by a 50-year-old woman, caught fire given off by the motorcycle.

The rider was found unconscious and unresponsive by officers from the 110th Precinct responding to a 911 call. EMS responded to the scene and pronounced him dead.

EMS transported the 59-year-old driver of the Nissan to Booth Memorial Hospital with minor injuries to her neck and back.

There were no arrests and the investigation by the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad was ongoing. The name of the dead motorcycle rider is being withheld pending family notification, police said.
