An international brewing company continues to set down roots in Queens before making its big league debut in Flushing.
Mikkeller has taken a lease on a warehouse at 51-40 58th Pl. in Woodside. The 7,500 square foot space will be used as a storage area for bottles and ingredients, including beer essentials, barley and hops.
In its first collaboration with a sports venue, the microbrewery announced in July it would open Mikkeller NYC at the New York Mets’ Citi Field in Flushing late this year.
Plans for the 10,000-square-foot space include a brewery, restaurant, bar and shop. A total 4,000 square feet will be dedicated to production, with a 20-barrel brewhouse, single-batch fermenters and a canning line. In the bar-restaurant area, customers can expect to find 60 beers on tap and food from Mikkeller NYC’s in-house kitchen, as well as items from year-round partners Fuku and Pat LaFrieda Meat Purveyors.
Mikkeller NYC will be located along 126th Street near the right field gate and will be the Denmark-based company’s first East Coast location and 32nd location worldwide. It will be open year-round and offer public tours of brewery operations.
In the Woodside warehouse deal, Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates brokers Neil Dolgin and Grant Dolgin represented the landlord, RHK Associates, LLC; Daniel Rodriguez Sains of Buchbinder & Warren Realty Group, LLC represented Mikkeller NYC.
