With the New York Yankees marching toward the World Series, the match between New York City Football Club (NYCFC) and Columbus Crew Soccer Club on Oct. 22 will take place at Citi Field in Corona rather than at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

Before the game, which starts at 4 p.m., the club will host a Fan Appreciation Day at Citi Field from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Soccer fans will be able to take their best shot at an inflatable kick wall, listen to beats by DJ Mode and enter a contest for a chance to win NYCFC prizes. There will also be free face and hair painting for kids.

During the game, the first 8,000 fans to enter the stadium will receive a giveaway by NewYork-Presbyterian and City Beats will perform a special halftime show. Two fans will also get the chance to participate in a “Shirts off our Back” ceremony and receive an authentic jersey from a NYCFC player.

The Yankees playoff run has NYCFC scrambling for a venue to play if they advance on Sunday. NYCFC President Jon Patricof said the team could use Citi Field as a venue again if NYCFC needs to play a knockout game, the Post reported.

Tickets for Sundays game start at $30. To purchase tickets, visit this website.
