Police apprehended a 23-year-old man who allegedly knifed a Glendale man in the neck inside an apartment building early on Sunday morning, law enforcement sources said.

Enrique Feliz, 23, who resides on 67th Place near Central Avenue allegedly attacked the unidentified male victim from behind in an apartment at the location at 2:10 a.m. on Oct. 8, according to police. The motive for the attack remains under investigation.

Without saying a word, authorities said, Feliz allegedly stabbed the man in the back of his neck with a kitchen knife, causing a laceration, then fled the scene.

Officers from the 104th Precinct and EMS units responded to a 911 call about the incident. The injured man was taken to Jamaica Hospital for treatment.

Police located Feliz a short time later and took him into custody for questioning. They later learned that Feliz allegedly attacked his father, who resides at the same apartment building, on June 6 of this year. Sources familiar with the investigation said that Feliz got into an argument with his father over money, then struck him in the head, causing a minor laceration.

For both incidents, Feliz faces charges of assault and attempted murder. Arraignment information was not immediately available.

Editor’s note: An earlier report from the NYPD indicated that Feliz resided in Dorchester, MA. The Queens District Attorney’s officer, however, noted that Feliz resides at the Glendale location. We regret any confusion which may have resulted.
