ClubFed Fetes CBP Ingrassia

The J.F.K. Health and Welfare Fund, otherwise known as Club Fed, held its 3rd annual holiday charity party and honored (A) ADFO Salvatore Ingrassia as Law Enforcement Executive of the Year.

Being the first time this honor has been awarded it was of very special significance to Ingrassia who said. “I thank the Fund for all the good work you do. The association has improved conditions for all Customs employees and for donating to significant causes that affect the employees directly. It is a real honor to accept this award”.

Alan Wolfe, President of the Fund said that Ingrassia fulfills the mission of the organization which is to promote the wellbeing of all CBP employees at JFK Airport by providing a clean, safe, and comfortable working environment.

Wolfe said, “The Board Members of the JFK Health and Welfare Fund felt that Sal , as acting Port Director, was very concerned about the well-being of the employees and he instituted some policies and programs that proved his sincerity. So we decided to create an award to show appreciation to a CBP executive manager who showed great leadership and helped employees. Sal has made the CBP a better place for employees and by his inspiration in working with his staff.”

Employees from all departments of the CBP attended the dinner and retirees from the agency were there to stay in touch with friends and to be part of the recognition to Ingrassia.
