Police released on Saturday night a security camera image of a bandit who swiped a bundle from a Ridgewood bank on Friday afternoon.
Law enforcement sources said the thief walked into the Chase bank at 60-67 Myrtle Ave. at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 5, approached a 20-year-old bank teller and presented a demand note.
Authorities said the teller handed over $1,000 in cash to the suspect, who then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
Officers from the 104th Precinct responded to the incident; no injuries were reported.
Police described the bandit as a white man between 25 and 30 years old with a light complexion and a beard; he was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a black coat.
