NYPD: Man Threatens Subway Rider with Knife at Broadway N/W Station

The police are searching for a man who allegedly threatened a subway rider with a knife at the Broadway N/W station in Astoria on Jan. 27.

The victim, a 43-year-old man, spotted the assailant urinating on the platform at around 2:18 p.m., police say. He asked the suspect what he was doing and took a picture of him. The assailant took out a knife and threatened him.

The victim tried to get away, but the suspect followed him briefly before leaving the station.

The suspect is described as a 6 feet tall Hispanic man in his 50s. He was last seen wearing a brown coat, a green shirt, a gray sweater, blue slacks and brown shoes.
