A collision on Grand Central Parkway in Little Neck left a 30-year-old Floral Park man dead on Saturday morning, police reported.

At approximately 3:45 a.m. on March 10, officers responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian along eastbound Grand Central Parkway in the vicinity of Commonwealth Boulevard.

Upon arrival, authorities said, police observed a man lying on the road with severe head and body injuries.

The NYPD Collision Investigation Unit determined that Arif Hoosein, 30, of 257th Street in Floral Park exited the passenger side of a 2015 Mercedes Benz sedan in the middle of the road after a fight with the driver, his 34-year-old girlfriend, Savittrie Beria-Lackhan of 118th Street in South Ozone Park.

Hoosein was subsequently struck by a 2015 Nissan Sentra, operated by a 39-year-old male. The operator of the Nissan Sentra remained at the scene and was not injured.

Officers from the 105th Precinct and EMS responded to the location and transported Hoosein to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police arrested Beria-Lackhan on March 10 and charged her with DWI. She was arraigned on March 10 and released on $20,000 bond; she is due back in court on March 23, according to court records.
