Suspect wanted for burglarizing six southeast Queens shops and stealing thousands of dollars worth of electronics

Police are looking for a suspect connected to a series of burglaries at electronic and auto repair shops throughout southeast Queens.

It was reported to police that at 1 p.m. on March 3, an male employee at a cell phone shop, located at 219-19 Merrick Blvd. in Laurelton, arrived for work and discovered some merchandise missing and called police. An investigation found that an unknown man had forced open a rear door of the store and stole $22,000 worth of electronics.

Later that same day at 5 p.m., it was reported that an employee at S&S Auto Repair, located at 242-02 Merrick Blvd. in Rosedale, came to work and found that some merchandise was missing. The employee call the police and an investigation found that the suspect had gained entry into the shop by forcing open a side door at the location and removed $5,000 worth of electronics.

The four additional incidents resulted in the following:

  • At 8:30 p.m. on March 12, an employee at Sunrise Auto Sales, located at 246-19 North Conduit Ave. in Rosedale, discovered merchandise missing and called police. An investigation found that the suspect forced open the front door at the location and removed a number of electronics with an estimated value of $630.
  • At 9:30 p.m. on March 12, an employee at Metro PCS, located at 139-37 245th St. in Rosedale, found that merchandise was missing and called police. An investigation found that the suspect forced open a side door at the location and removed $2,500 worth of electronics.
  • At 12:30 a.m. on March 27, an employee at Square Biz, located at 214-35 Jamaica Ave. in Queens Village, found that merchandise was missing and called police. An investigation found that the suspect forced open a side door at the location and removed $1,340 worth of electronics.
  • At 3:15 a.m. on April 3, an employee at Cross Island Tire & Wheel, located at 216-02 Hempstead Ave. in Queens Village, found that merchandise was missing and called police. An investigation found that the suspect forced open a side door at the location and removed a number of  electronics valued at $1,000.

The suspect is described as male and was last seen wearing a black ski mask and all dark clothing. Police released security images of the suspect from the first incident.
