Police need the public’s help in finding the man who robbed a Jamaica office at gunpoint last week.
Law enforcement sources said the stickup occurred at 11:33 a.m. on May 4 at a management office in the vicinity of 102nd Avenue and Brisbin Street.
Security camera footage obtained from the scene shows the suspect opening a front gate, then brandishing a silver firearm while inside the office. Police said he demanded that the employees show him where they kept the money.
The workers complied with the robber’s demands and led him to the loot. Authorities said he subsequently grabbed $23,000 in cash, as well as the employees’ cellphones, then fled in an unknown direction.
Officers from the 103rd Precinct responded to the incident; there were no injuries.
Cops described the suspect as a bald, black man standing 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing 250 pounds; he was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black sneakers.
