Authorities are investigating after an infant was found unresponsive in her Flushing home on Saturday evening.

On June 16 at around 6:02 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of an unconscious 3-day-old child, identified by authorities as Joyce Liang.

When officers from the 109th Precinct arrived to the scene at 136th Street and 63rd Road, they saw emergency responders providing care to the infant, who was unconscious and unresponsive, according to police.

EMS transported the child to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing, law enforcement sources said.
