Building permits have recently been filed for the construction of two hotels slated to go up on property located on the border of Long Island City and Astoria.

An application was filed Friday for a nine-story, 102-room hotel to be built at 38-53 10th St.  The property was bought last month by Amritpal Sandhu, who has developed hotels throughout the city.

Sandhu’s firm 10 Street NY LLC paid $3.7 million for the property, according to building records. The firm purchased it from Cirpriani Queens, which acquired the property in 2003 for $740,000.

The second hotel is slated to go up at 23-15 39th Ave., according to a May 31 filing. That building will be eight stories, with 95 hotel rooms.

The property is being developed by Surjeet Kaur whose firm bought the property for $4,075,000 earlier this year.
