NYPD Releases Video of Man who Allegedly Helped Elderly Woman Get on Train, Then Stole Wallet

The police have released video footage of a man who allegedly swiped an 85-year-old woman’s wallet at the 46thStreet-Bliss subway station earlier this month after initially helping her get to the train.

The suspect helped the elderly woman get into the station at about 1 p.m. on Friday, July 13, before removing her purse that contained $130 in cash, a debit card and personal papers, according to police.

The suspect then fled the location in an unknown direction. The woman was uninjured.

The police obtained video footage of the suspect taken from 47-01 Queens Blvd prior to the incident.

The suspect is described as Hispanic and last seen wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt, dark-colored shoes, and a blue baseball cap.
