Cops arrested a New Jersey resident accused of sexually assaulting a 25-year-old man inside a Ridgewood apartment on Saturday morning.

Law enforcement sources said that Newark’s David Cantor, 34, allegedly attacked the man inside the victim’s Woodward Avenue apartment at about 7 a.m. on Aug. 11.

According to the criminal complaint that the Queens District Attorney’s office provided, the victim was sleeping on the couch and woke up to find Cantor allegedly lying on top of him.

Authorities did not immediately disclose the nature of the relationship between Cantor and the victim.

When the victim attempted to get away, prosecutors said, Cantor allegedly held the man down and then placed the victim’s genitalia into his mouth. The complaint noted that Cantor allegedly also inappropriately touched the victim and bit him numerous times on the shoulder, arm and buttocks.

Members of the 104th Precinct were called to the scene a short time later and, following questioning, Cantor was booked on charges of criminal sexual act, assault, forcible touching, sexual abuse and harassment.

Following his arraignment in Queens Criminal Court, according to court records, Cantor was released without bail, but ordered to return for a follow up hearing on Sept. 21.

Editor’s note: An earlier version incorrectly stated that the suspect allegedly forced his own genitalia into the victim’s mouth. We have corrected the error, and regret any confusion which may have resulted.
