A Japanese ramen restaurant is opening on Queens Boulevard in the location that was previously occupied by Dee Thai.

The restaurant, to be called Fuyu Ramen and located at 46-17 Queens Blvd., is scheduled to open by November, according to its co-owners Steve Oh and Brendan Yun.

The restaurant will offer ramen noodle dishes as well as a variety of Korean and Japanese offerings.

“We are still working on the menu,” Oh said, who has lived on 46th Street in Sunnyside for the past year.

Oh said that he and Yun–who lives in Flushing– decided to open in Sunnyside because they believe the area lacks quality ramen restaurants.

The restaurant will seat about 40 people and the pair have applied for a liquor license.

Meanwhile, two stores over at 46-21 Queens Blvd., a nail salon has opened.

Pink Nails opened Saturday. The salon is owned by Elsa Tirape, a Corona resident who previously worked at Lotus Nails & Spa.
