The final piece is in place for the JFK Airport 9-11 Memorial Ceremony. A piece of steel from the World Trade Center fallen towers will grace the 9-11 ceremony to be held at the JFK Airport ball field. The service, which is sponsored by the Port Authority and the JFK Chamber of Commerce and friends, will take place from 8 am to 10am Tuesday Sept. 11, 2018. The entire JFK Airport community and adjacent communities will participate in a solemn event featuring an honor guard, bag piper, and participants from all branches of the military, first responders, and supporters of those fallen during the 9-11 attack.

Names of the deceased will be read, bells tolled and songs sung on behalf of those lost and to the families and friends of the people killed that fateful day.

All are invited to attend. Shuttle busses will run to and from the Airtrain at Federal Circle as well as from Building 14 from 7 am to noon. Vehicle parking is free in the adjacent parking lot.
