Cops are looking for a suspect who shot an off-duty corrections officer in his car in South Richmond Hill early Friday morning.
According to police, at 1:46 a.m. on Sept. 14, officers from the 106th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding an unconscious person inside a car at the intersection of 103rd Avenue and 120th Street. Upon their arrival, police found a 27-year-old man sitting in the driver’s seat of a red 2013 Honda Accord, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to his head.
Reports say that the victim had gotten into an argument with a man on a motorcycle, who ultimately shot the victim in the head.
EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
