Actor, producer and television host Vivica Fox will be in St. Albans this Saturday, Oct. 6 to discuss her talk show and autobiography.

Fox has a new syndicated talk show on CBS called “Face the Truth” which premiered on Sept. 10. She also recently published an autobiography entitled “Every Day I’m Hustling.” Fox has been in many movies including “Independence Day” and “Kill Bill: Vol. 1” and has a current role in the hit TV show “Empire.”

“She’ll discuss the ins and outs of Hollywood as well as read excerpts from her new book and discuss her new network TV show,” said Carl Clay, Black Spectrum Theatre Company’s founder and chief executive.

Clay also said that there would be a time for the audience to ask questions.

Bowlegged Lou will moderate the event. Lou is a music producer, performer and actor who used to be in the music group Full Force.

Fox will host a private pre-event earlier in the day in Rosedale. The actress plans to connect and network with community leaders at this time.

Black Spectrum Theatre Company was founded in 1970. According to its website, the theatre’s mission is to “provide the community with African-American cultural expression through contemporary theater and film.” The theatre is at 177th Street and Baisley Blvd in Roy Wilkins Park.

Fox’s appearance is at 8 p.m. on Oct. 6. Tickets to her talk at Black Spectrum can be purchased at the box office for $25. Copies of her book will be available for purchase. For more information, visit blackspectrum.com or call 347-395-3811.
