Police are still on the lookout for a woman who allegedly assaulted a female passenger on an escalator inside the Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer Avenues subway station.

Law enforcement sources said the attack occurred at 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 27, when the 27-year-old victim was on the escalator minding her own business when the alleged assailant approached her to challenge her to a fight.

Moments later, authorities said, the suspect allegedly punched her in the head and face numerous times, then fled the scene.

A screenshot of surveillance footage shows the suspect fleeing through the turnstiles, and the woman-in-question later went northbound on 153rd Street, according to police.

Officers from the 103rd Precinct and NYPD Transit Bureau 20 responded to the incident. The victim was treated at Jamaica Hospital for lacerations to her neck and bruising to her face and later released, according to police.

Cops describe the suspect as a Hispanic woman possibly around five feet to five feet two inches, and approximately 100 to 120 pounds, and was last seen wearing a light colored jacket, a black shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
