Police are searching for a man and woman who robbed a 7-train straphanger at gunpoint and later forced him off at the 40th Street station last month.
The 38-year-old victim was inside a Manhattan bound 7 train at midnight on Oct. 29 when the unknown man approached him and demanded his property at gunpoint, police say.
The victim handed over his wallet and cell phone to the man, who then passed it over to his female accomplice. She then placed the stolen items inside her jacket.
The duo then forced the victim off the train once it pulled into the 40th Street-Lowery Street station. Both the man and woman stayed on board the train.
Both suspects are described as Hispanic and in their 30s. The male is between 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and white sneakers.
The woman is described as 5 feet 9 inches, and was last seen wearing a black jacket with white lining, dark colored pants and black sneakers.
Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-8477, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
