Craft Night — Upcycle some old materials at this fun craft night. Build little hotels for bugs to spend the winter in at this workshop by GreenThumb. THose interested are asked to RSVP at growtolearn.org/event/bug-hotels-w.

Poetry Celebration — Interested in celebrating the poetry of fellow Queens residents? Head to The Local NY to meet the six poets and writers featured in the new issue. This event is free and open to the public. Food and drink will be available for purchase.

Festive Holiday Wreaths — Join the Queens Botanical Garden to create festive holiday wreaths and to learn about different types of conifer plants. All materials needed for wreath construction are provided. Register online at the QBG Eventbrite page.

The Rainbow Fish — Come to Flushing Town Hall to enjoy the puppet production of “The Rainbow Fish,” based off the award-winning book series. “The Rainbow Fish,” originally playing in Nova Scotia, features uplifting and enchanting stories from the children’s book series. Tickets can be purchased on the Flushing Town Hall website.

Annual Dinner Party — Join the Bayside Historical Society to celebrate the holidays at its annual dinner party! There will be cocktails, food, dancing, music, raffles and a 50/50. Reservations are required.

Silent Disco — Break out your ugly Christmas sweater and come to a silent disco at Katch Astoria. Admission to this ugly sweater party includes a pair of quiet clubbing headphones to jam to your choice of three live DJs all night long.

Live Nativity — Celebrate Christmas by watching a live nativity. This fun event features people and animals acting out the first Christmas. Photo opportunities will be available, and hot chocolate will be served.

Visit Santa — Come visit Santa in Astoria. Children will be able to take photos with Santa, and partake in balloon art and face painting. Caroling group Songful Artists will also be present, strolling up and down Steinway Street singing and ushering in holiday cheer.

Holiday Market — Enjoy some holiday shopping at the Flushing Town Hall Holiday Market. Artists and crafters from Queens will be selling everything from jewelry and clothing to paintings and paper goods.

Hanukkah Concert — Celebrate Hanukkah with a concert at the Rego Park Jewish Center. The performance features Avram Pengas, guitarist and bouzouki virtuoso, and will include Israeli, Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Yiddish songs. Traditional latkes and applesauce will be served.

Queensboro Symphony Chamber Music Society — The Queensboro Symphony Chamber Music Society will return to St. Ann’s Church. This concert will feature members of the Queensboro Symphony Orchestra performing Mozart’s String Quartet No. 17 “The Hunt” and Tchaikovsky’s string Sextet in D minor “Souvenir de Florence.”
