Police are asking for the public’s help in the search of two men who broke into a Jackson Heights apartment late last year.
According to police, at about 3:20 p.m. on Dec. 28, 2018, the two men entered the apartment building located at 71-20 34th Ave. and began ringing the victim’s doorbell. The victim later told police that the suspects had buzzed the bell for approximately 30 minutes.
After all that bell-ringing, authorities said, the suspects proceeded to smash open the apartment’s kitchen window, then made their way inside. After confronting the victim, law enforcement sources noted, the suspects ran out of the building and fled in an unknown direction.
The incident was later reported to the 115th Precinct. Nothing was taken from the home.
