Detectives from the 109th Precinct need the public’s help in finding a thief who snatched a purse containing thousands of dollars in cash from a shopper’s cart at a College Point store.
Police said the incident occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, at 3 p.m. at the TJ Maxx store located at 136-05 20th Ave.
According to a post on the 109th Precinct’s Twitter page posted on Jan. 9, the purse which the bandit grabbed contained $6,000 in cash.
The 56-year-old female victim’s purse was taken from beneath her shopping cart when she stepped away, police said.
