Three people injured as a four-alarm fire rips through several Jamaica homes: FDNY

One person is in critical condition and two others are seriously wounded after a fire erupted at a Jamaica home Wednesday afternoon, according to FDNY officials.

Firefighters rushed to the scene of a four-alarm fire at 114-30 158 St. near Meyer Avenue at around 1:40 p.m., which quickly spread to nearby houses, the FDNY said.

The three civilians were rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, FDNY officials said.

Thirty-nine FDNY united and 175 firefighters were still battling the fire at around 3:15 p.m., according to an FDNY spokesperson.
