Knife-wielding crooks take a man’s bank card during robbery on an Astoria street: cops

Cops are looking for a duo who robbed a man at knifepoint in Astoria this week and took off with the victim’s ATM card.

According to police, at 1:15 a.m. on Feb. 6, a 38-year-old man was walking in the vicinity of 34th Avenue and 41st Street when he was approached by two unknown men. One of the perpetrators pulled out a knife, forcibly removed the victim’s ATM card from his wallet and demanded his pin.

Authorities said that the suspects used the victim’s ATM card to make two unauthorized purchases totaling $106. At this time, it’s unclear where the purchases were made.

Officers from the 114th Precinct responded to the incident. The victim was not injured.
