A nationwide ride-sharing company is celebrating Black History Month by offering free rides to local Black History spots in New York City.

Throughout the month of February, Lyft is offering one free ride up to $10 to select Black history museums, memorials, and black-owned businesses throughout New York City, including the Louis Armstrong House Museum, located at 34-56 107th St. in Corona.

Riders can use the code BHMNYC19 to get a free ride to the Louis Armstrong House Museum. Limit one code per Lyft account. Discount does not apply to tips, cancellation fees, damage charges, or taxes.

Lyft is also celebrating the one year anniversary of its partnership with Black Girls CODE, an organization that’s committed to increasing the representation of African-American women in technology by offering coding workshops. Queens riders can support Black Girls Code by opting into Lyft’s Round Up and Donate program here.
