Cops seek two men connected with string of burglaries in Maspeth and Elmhurst: NYPD

The NYPD is looking for two men allegedly connected with several burglaries throughout Queens in February. Over the course of seven burglaries, the men stole more than $13,000 in cash and a random assortment of goods including an iPad, power tools and a bottle of wine, according to authorities.

On Friday Feb. 7, around 1:35 a.m., two unidentified men broke into Great Will 88 Contracting, located at 85-08 Grand Ave. in Elmhurst, police said. Once inside, they took $6,000, jewelry and power tools, cops say. They fled in an unknown direction.

A few minutes later, in the same building, the men gained entry to Topway Tutoring Center and stole $30 and a bottle of wine, according to the NYPD.

The next day, Saturday, Feb. 8, around 3:19 a.m., the men attempted to break into Forno Pizzeria & Trattoria Restaurant, located at 52-27 69th St. in Maspeth, by damaging the front glass door, according to the authorities. They were unsuccessful and left empty-handed.

About 10 minutes later, the men broke the bathroom window of Jacups Coffee Bistro, located at 52-17 69th St. in Maspeth, cops say. Once inside, they took $1,450 worth of electronics and $200 cash before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Later that same morning, around 4 a.m., the men forced open the basement door of Borjas Deli Grocery, located at 53-33 69th St. in Maspeth, according to the NYPD. After rummaging through drawers and cabinets, the duo came up empty-handed and left without stealing anything.

On Sunday, Feb. 9, around 11 p.m., the men broke into USA Minimart, located at 48-10 69th St. in Maspeth, according to the authorities. Once in the store, they took multiple lottery tickets and an iPad before leaving in an unknown direction.

On Saturday, Feb. 22, around 10 p.m., the men gained entry to Corner Bakery, located at 84-02 Queens Blvd. in Elmhurst, through the basement window, according to the police. They stole $400 and fled in an unknown direction.
