Thief claiming to be armed with a gun robs Ridgewood electronics store: NYPD

The NYPD is looking for a man who robbed an electronics store in Ridgewood earlier this month.

On Friday, Sept. 4, around 11 a.m., an unidentified man walked into Marjan NY, an electronics store located at 67-18 Fresh Pond Road, according to the police.

The man told an employee that he had a gun and demanded cash, cops said. They made their way to the register, where the thief removed around $200 and a pair of headphones, before fleeing on foot in a unknown direction, according to the NYPD.

No injuries were reported as result of the incident.

The suspect is described as a thin man who was last seen wearing a blue hoodie sweater, white shirt, dark pants, red sneakers, a black skeleton face mask and a black backpack, police said.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
