A Jackson Heights man was executed in a hail of bullets Thursday night, Aug. 19, in the Court Square section of Long Island City, according to authorities.

Police from the 108th Precinct responded to a 911 call of a person shot in front of 28-10 Jackson Ave., where they discovered a 50-year-old Joesph Bryan with multiple gunshot wounds to his arm and torso around 11:18 p.m. on Aug. 19, according to the NYPD.

Based on a preliminary investigation, police determined that an unidentified male gunman walked up to Bryan as the victim sat inside his Mercedes parked at the location in front of a luxury highrise. The suspect opened fire multiple times on Bryan, then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

EMS responded to the crime scene and rushed Bryan to Mount Sinai Queens, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
