Police from the 115th Precinct are looking for a man who allegedly hurled anti-Asian comments after he attacked and robbed a 56-year-old woman late last month.
At around 7 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, the woman was walking in the vicinity of 37-53 75th St. in Jackson Heights when the suspect allegedly hit her the back of the head with a plastic bottle and then punched her in the face, police said.
The assailant then ripped the victim’s chain off her neck and made anti-Asian statements before fleeing the scene on foot eastbound on 37th Road, according to the NYPD.
The suspect is described as a man who wore a dark-colored shirt, black shorts and black sneakers, police said.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
