A woman was robbed at gunpoint on her own porch in South Ozone Park earlier this month and police from the 106th Precinct are looking for the pistol-packing woman who pulled off the robbery in broad daylight.

The incident occurred on Saturday, July 2, when the unidentified woman approached the 39-year-old victim at the home along the service road of the Van Wyck Expressway near 111th Street.

The suspect pulled out a silver handgun and said, “I need your purse.” The victim attempted to flee but the woman forcibly removed her Apple iPhone 11 and her wallet containing credit cards and $60 in cash, before taking off on foot southbound on the Van Wyck Expressway service road, police said, adding there were no injuries incurred as a result of the incident.

The NYPD released a surveillance video Tuesday that shows the suspect approaching the victim and pulling the firearm from the waistband of her denim cutoff shorts. The assailant had dark hair and wore sunglasses, a white tank top, a gold pennant hanging from her neck and dark sneakers.
